Hey this is Chris, owner of Rockport Supply Co. I started ShaveBase a few years ago with a single product, our pre-shave oil. It was the base of your shave, hence ShaveBase.
It was supposed to be the only product, with a focus of being made with 100% natural oils. However, I was talked into expanding to multiple products soon after I launched. The new products; shave soaps, shave cream, post-shave balm and a face scrub, were great products, but they weren’t all natural, nor unique.
Late 2023, I went back to the drawing board. Obviously the pre-shave oil will stay. I then created a a couple more 100% natural products for general men’s grooming; our scented and unscented beard oils, with more new Wicked Natural products to come in the future.
And since we’re now focused on mens grooming in general, I decided the name ShaveBase just wouldn’t work anymore. Working on a rebrand, I wanted to keep the seacoast motif of ShaveBase and give it a more New England vibe. That’s how Rockport Supply Co. was born.
